My mothers name is Pearlie
Sipes and she is a little over ninety.
She is the most free spirited, fun,
and loving women you'll ever meet. Today she's still getting around
well
 enough to take care of her small farm, her puppies, (she raises
the cutest little black and white Boston Terrier's). and her self.
When she has any free time you will
find her working on her quilts. She has always loved to sew even
during her childhood years with her mom. Many of mom's quilts have won
first prize at the Henderson County Fair and at the Memphis, TN state
fair.
Currently she makes quilts for her
daughters, and then for her grandchildren and oh yes don't forget the
great grandchildren.
Mom showed me how to take material
and change it into something pretty. There is nothing like the
feeling of being good at something.
Mom and I have been selling quilts for years, hand quilted, machine
quilted, appliquιd, and machine piecework and many special order
quilts.
